Recently opened an office in Lagos, Nigeria & looking for a Lead Process Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
• Plans, schedules, & supervises process design & or systems work for onshore &
offshore oil & gas facilities projects.
• Reviews scopes of work, budgets, commitments, schedules & progress. Makes use of
progress reporting system.
• Review & management of project & general specifications, engineering procedures
& engineering policy.
Contributing to all kinds of activities related to oil & gas for projects, studies, proposals, estimates &/or work improvement programs. Responsible for project execution within budget & time schedules, management & leading other engineers, & able to work independently. Complex matters may be discussed with a Process Specialist in the dept.
You must perform & be held responsible for & aware of:
• Scheduling & estimating activities
• Establishing the definition of basis of design & design criteria.
• Consult specialists of the Process Technology Dept & elsewhere if applicable.
• Perform feasibility, alternative evaluation & process planning studies
• Role & sensitivity of process operating pressures & temperature, stream analysis & properties
• Preparation & maintenance of process flow diagrams incl heat & material balances & process data, also of mechanical design conditions for large process plants.
• Preparation of process & mechanical design specifications of equipment, lines & instrumentation.
• Preparation & maintenance of piping & instrument diagrams.
• Preparation & maintenance of hydrostatic test diagrams & safeguarding them, also the safety & environmental aspects & plant operation manuals
• Execution of all process calculations & simulations.
• Review piping designs which may affect the process integrity.
An accomplished Lead Process Engineer with a degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience of working on oil field, petrochemical, or oil & gas handling projects & thorough knowledge of oil field engineering & construction methods incl its practice & procedures.
Experience must include working on engineering teams on at least 3 projects of total value US$15M each.
Need a Drivers Licence & good Microsoft Office skills.
Contracts awarded up to max 3 years. Salaries negotiable depending on experience & skill set. Ex-Pats package available, it is envisaged leave rota will be 8 weeks on & 2 weeks off.
