Lead Supply Chain Manager

Our client is the market leader for Air-to-Air Refuelling, providing innovative fourth generation nose to tail solutions to defence customers worldwide. Due to company growth they are looking to recruit a Lead Supply Chain Manager to join their supply chain management team.

The Role: Lead Supply Chain Manager
As Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for:

+ Develop and embed supply chain strategies for new programmes in line with the individual commodity strategies and technology roadmap
+ Deliver to, or better, the target costs used to formulate the original purchased item pricing
+ Support commodity managers with contract negotiation and perform contract reviews with suppliers
+ Manage the implementation of strategies through close working relationships with the individual business functions
+ Provide the interface between the programme IPT’s and the Commodity Managers
+ Manage the PIP/PIM gate tasks
+ Coordinate supplier involvement in the IPT’s to reduce costs

Experience:
As Lead Supply Chain Manager you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in engineering or other relevant discipline
+ CIPS graduate diploma
+ Has operated within a commercial role in a large multi division organisation
+ Experience of introducing new suppliers
+ Manufacturing industry experience
+ Technical background (significant interface with engineers)
+ Experience of Project/programme management
