Lean and Six Sigma Master Black Belt

Black Belt guidance concerning the implementation and adoption of lean and six sigma techniques for process improvements throughout. Assisting in the development of a company wide philosophy for Lean Six Sigma and ensuring that the Green Belts are trained and competent to undertake facilitation of improvement events.

Support Project CONNECT in a Master Black Belt capacity throughout project development and execution phases

Support the Project Connect Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Coordinator in developing LSS methodology
Co-ordinate and supervise monthly LSS Leadership Awareness Courses and quarterly Green Belt training courses
Mentor Green Belts

Responsibilities

Train and assess the competency of personnel against Green Belt standards
Develop in house training arrangements for Lean Six Sigma.
Support Improvement activities and events as necessary
Work with process improvement specialists to ensure that improvement activities are focused on priority areas



Qualifications

Degree or relevant technical qualification or the equivalent experience
Proven track record in delivering quantifiable Lean Six Sigma benefits

Knowledge

Lean Six Sigma Methodology
Common Wintel applications
Knowledge of the Lockheed Martin LM21 not essential methodology is preferred, although a level of training can be provided


Experience

Substantial experience as a practicing Black Belt
Experience in the formulation and delivery of LSS Training Courses
Substantial experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology and techniques


Skills

Strong analytical
Strong planning skills
Experience of process improvement, using Lean Six Sigma techniques
Persuasive oral, written and interpersonal skills in particular
The ability to influence people at all levels
Prepared to become a champion of lean and continuous improvement

Energetic and proactive in communication with staff at all levels

Special Requirements

Willing to undertake occasional travel both in the UK and overseas
