The Company

• Our client is an innovative and dynamic operator in the Food Industry. They have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Logistics Manager to work at the forefront of their supply business.

The Role

• Responsible for the effective day-to-day management of transportation and logistics operations within a multi-million pound business.
• Monitoring and maintaining the smooth running of the logistics function and ensuring that all operating procedures are adhered to.
• Managing haulier relations, with responsibility for liaison and negotiation.
• Maintaining departmental budgets and resolving operational issues.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines while meeting performance standards.
• Developing a strategic view of the business and how to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction..

The Candidate

• An experienced Logistics or contract manager within the bulk liquids sector.
• Strong operational understanding and the experience to operate as a strategic thinker with the intellectual curiosity and commitment to effectively identify, implement and manage improvement through change.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate your team.
• Self motivated, determined and will demonstrate a commitment to customer service and care, developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Able to demonstrate the ability to ensure maximum use of resources in order to minimise costs and maximise productivity.
• PC literate - good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
