Management Accountant - BERMUDA

This full-service investment management and advisory group with companies in Bermuda and Cayman is seeking an individual to join a team of energetic and committed professionals as a management accountant in their Bermuda office. The successful applicant will report to the group financial controller/business manager. Responsibilities and duties will include:·Producing management reports including design of reports and templates for each business segment and reporting area ·Reporting on actual budget forecast compared to business case targets and assessing impact to cost, savings, scope or timing·Analysis of monthly/quarterly results to highlight potential risks and provide mitigation recommendations to group financial controller·Systems projects (implementation, enhancements, integration)·Performing detailed analysis on project ledger·Reconciliation of G/L·Supporting financial controller, particularly in gathering, analysing and tracking financial and related business information from various initiatives·Assisting in negotiations with banks and other sources of financing to pursue the company's interestsEducational and experience requirements include:·A recognised international accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA)·A degree in business, finance, economics or accounting is preferred·An investment qualification (i.e. Series 7, Canadian Securities Course or CFA) would be useful·Three years' experience in the financial services or auditing industry·Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential·Strong PC skills, particularly with database and spreadsheet applications; knowledge of Great Plains and Crystal Reports would be useful
