Management Consultant - Life & Pensions

Location: : London plus travel - London City/Central
Rate: £50K to £82K (per year) + great benefits

My client, an international leader in the Financial Services market offering management consultancy services, is looking to recruit a number of management consultants on a permanent basis. Senior Consultant - £50k -£61k basic
Managing Consultant - £69k - £82k basic

We are looking for candidates with experience in the Life & Pensions industry who are used to working in a project environment and wish to play a key role in the ongoing success of our Life & Pensions team. Our Life & Pensions clients are based across the UK so a willingness to travel is essential.

The Position
Successful candidate would be expected to contribute strongly to:
• Project Delivery - plays an important role in the delivery of projects, programmes and/or business advisory roles at leading Financial Services institutions;
• Development - support and contribute to the management and development of both the Life & Pensions industry team;
• Sales - able to demonstrate an awareness of opportunities for new sales;
• Market knowledge and development - share and bring to bear personal experience and knowledge in support of the development of new and existing service propositions. Responsible for continued development of own knowledge and can demonstrate emerging specialist knowledge in a particular area;
• Client account management – supports process for managing client accounts, providing timely update information for key contacts. Manage relationships with new and existing clients contacts over the long term.

The Person
We would expect the candidate to have significant level experience working in the industry and/or consultancy in Life & Pensions in the UK. During this time they will have spent some time working within a project environment. It is essential that candidates have:
• A thorough understanding of the products, processes, systems and players in the Retail Financial Services market, and especially Life and Pensions
• Specialist knowledge of Life and Pensions and ideally will also have a good understanding of distribution and retail customer administration
• A strong working knowledge of the changes, drivers, trends and developments affecting the industry
• Customer administration within the Life & Pensions industry
• Advised and non-advised retail distribution models
• Product propositions and the processes involved in product development
• Human Performance Improvement methods and practice
• Business Process Rationalisation and Operational Improvement
• Offshoring of business processes
