A highly motivated and professional candidate is sought to provide support to Relationship
Managers in their investment strategy, financial reporting, banking and client administration
requirements. The role requires the ability to manage numerous concurrent, differing projects at any given time, whilst maintaining quality and accuracy. Total confidentiality and discretion at all times are essential.
The position is viewed as being an excellent launch point for a successful career within the
group. The successful candidate will be presented with every opportunity to acquire multidisciplinary knowledge through a combination of training and practical experience, and therefore must be someone who seeks to progress rapidly.
The role involves close and regular interaction with all members of the Relationship
Management Team, Accountants, Compliance Officers, and numerous external business
contacts (including investment managers, banks, solicitors and property managers). It also
includes significant and increasing direct contact with clients.
Principal Elements of the role
• Building and maintaining long term business relationships with clients in order to become the first point of client contact
• Structuring of trusts and companies, and take-on of existing entities
• General pre-meeting preparation and post meeting follow up with Relationship Managers
• Liaison with back office accountants to ensure that financial accounts are prepared, reviewed and ready in time for any client meetings/ visits
• Review of financial accounts prepared by accountants
• Assistance with client banking transactions
• Liaising with third party business contacts
• Preparation and analysis of investment and family office reports
• Initiating execution of investments
• Setup and review of client investment portfolios
• Proactively addressing ad hoc client requests
• Travel to meet clients with Relationship Director or Relationship Manager
• Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required from time to time
• Preparation of specific client presentations (using PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• An aptitude for dealing directly with demanding and sophisticated clients
• An excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff and management within the Group as well as third party service providers
• A sound understanding of financial accounts gained through practical experience and as part of a qualification/degree
• The ability to acquire expertise in trust and corporate structuring
• A sound understanding of financial markets and investment management
• Sharp analytical skills and a strong commercial awareness
• Strong client care/ service orientation
• The ability and willingness to travel internationally on occasions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
