Our client is a private equity backed branded multi-channel retailer of mens and womens clothing. With over 60 stores in the UK and Internationally, the business has aggressive growth targets and a desire to be the best in the premium branded market. It is now entering the next phase of its development and as such is looking to bring in a Managing Director to scale the business effectively to enable future growth and drive the performance of the business.

Key areas of responsibility
• To work with the Board, senior management team and the equity house to articulate a clear growth strategy which will scale the business to £75m+ in 3-5 years.
• To recruit, develop and lead a talented and experienced senior management team capable of growing, leading and managing a business of greater scale.
• To identify and drive performance and change across the business’ identified strategic priorities.
• To achieve a successful exit for the shareholders within a defined timeframe.

Experience
• Has an in depth knowledge of high street retailing in high growth businesses (small and large).
• Has a product background or ‘feel’ for product.
• Proven leadership skills at MD level.
• Has a clear understanding of business processes and functions.
• Is cash as well as profit focussed.
• Is passionate about customers, their requirements, the product and brand equity.
