Managing Director

We are looking for a Managing Director to provide effective leadership for an FMCG company and deliver future growth.
This company is already successful, but would like to achieve further growth and are looking for an individual with a proven track record who can deliver their sales plan. Reporting to the Board, you will be given the autonomy to act and make the necessary decisions to drive the business forward.
Working from the company headquarters in the Westcountry, you will be overseeing the development of existing accounts with some of the largest multiples, as well as further growth within the mainstream UK markets, and potentially in to the export market.
You may already have led a business through a similar process of business growth, or maybe you work for a large multiple and are looking for a new challenge. Whether you come from a small company or a large corporate, you will need proven experience working in food production, food wholesale or distribution.
You will need to be structured and well organised, with a reputation for getting things done. You will need to have a strong commercial focus, and be able to exploit opportunities. The company has a strong value framework which the successful applicant would need to support and uphold as part of the role.
The package on offer will include a basic salary of around £65k plus a bonus directly related to the company’s performance which would take the total remuneration to around £100k per annum.
