Managing Director

The company, part of a European industrial group, supplies a comprehensive range of engineering consumables to manufacturing organisations across the UK. Products are supplied both direct and through distribution.

The UK operation undertakes sales, applications and customer service, having a small workshop/finishing area, enabling them
to provide first class service and support. In order to spearhead growth and take them to the next stage in their development
they wish to recruit an experienced Managing Director.

Reporting to the Group in Europe, the Managing Director will take full responsibility for this £4m company, developing the strategy for the business and ensuring profitable sales performance. The company has a main office and small production unit together with a network of distributors throughout the country. Sales are mainly to manufacturing concerns in the metal working sector, products being sold on an engineering applications basis requiring technical input at the point of sale.

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of leading a small production, sales and service engineering consumables operation with a similar customer base, having developed new niche sectors and grown revenues in a mature marketplace.
