Part of an international group, our client designs and manufactures a market leading range of high performance products for the construction and civil engineering sectors. The Group’s success has been achieved through a combination of innovative product and brand development, combined with a reputation for quality and first class customer service.
Leading a small but successful business unit with a turnover of £4million, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy focused on growth and expansion of the current product offering, which is primarily, but not exclusively, sold through architects and engineers and distributed via specialist stockists and distributors. This will involve managing an established and close knit team of twenty-five personnel, including field sales, design and engineering, marketing and product management, production and supply chain.
The requirement is for a highly talented general manager who is able to demonstrate proven success in growing market share and leading a successful commercial and manufacturing operation. Ideally, a graduate with a technical engineering or business degree, the person should be a rounded sales/commercial leader with a strong financial and strategic awareness. You will need to be able to shape the future direction of the business by combining your own efforts with those of the team in an involving and inclusive style. A team player with the ability to quickly win the respect of individual team members and lead by example, you should comfortable operating and delivering at a ‘hands on’ level, as well as being able to shape the strategic direction of the business.
