Based: Bristol
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Manufacturing and Operations Director will develop and implement the Manufacturing and Operations strategy and make a major contribution to the on-going success and direction for the company. In more detail, this will involve:
* Leading teams of 500+ including Production, Engineering, & Technical New Product Development.
* Leading and developing your team through robust performance management of complex KPIs.
* Leading and embedding major change and enhancement programmes including Lean / Six Sigma.
* Leading teams to achieve stretch goals in all areas including Manufacturing, NPD, & Operations.
Highly successful and part of a globally respected premium manufacturing brand, our client is a successful and expanding manufacturer of a design-led high/value products delivered in multi-million pound programmes to an international customers.
The Manufacturing and Operations Director will be a manufacturing professional and well versed in Mechanical / Production environments with an interest and exposure to design-led engineering. You are likely to be Degree/HND qualified with a depth of senior experience, strong commercial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and asset/investment assessment and implementation. Analytical, committed and an individual who thrives on business pressures - fundamentally you enjoy being judged on your results. The Manufacturing and Operations Director is likely to be from a background in automotive, aerospace or similar. Leadership strength combined with structured management and the outright ability to deliver results will be critical.
An inspirational leader, the Manufacturing and Operations Director will be able to 'create and implement a vision' and be interested in people and their development. This is an outstanding opportunity and the remuneration is outstanding. It includes high base, performance bonus, car allowance and relocation assistance if necessary.
