Nampak Plastics Europe operates across 7 UK sites and is poised for further
expansion in the UK and European market. It prides itself on its unswerving
commitment to constantly deliver its customers’ needs and expectations. We are
seeking a talented, driven and highly people focused manufacturing professional
to join the senior team and take on this key role.

You will have full responsibility for all operational areas of the business, with overall control of the operating budget and 600 staff. This is a high volume, 24/7 unionised environment and you have a thorough understanding of areas such as raw material scheduling and capacity planning, machine optimisation, lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

With an impressive track record of directing and developing multi-site operations, ideally in an FMCG or packaging arena, you have a passion for delivering manufacturing excellence and achieve this through your people. You are a real high energy self-starter, hands-on and results orientated with a proven ability in pro-active management, coupled with genuine commercial pragmatism. You constantly drive day-to-day performance but also see the bigger picture and are highly adept at longer-term strategic planning.

However, your leadership and man-management skills will be your strongest asset.
With robust tactical skills in areas such as Union negotiations and working practices, you will also be able to demonstrate real flair for leadership and empowerment. You lead from the front, whilst encouraging and being receptive to other opinions and ideas.
Developing strong, long lasting relationships across all levels of a business, including with customers and suppliers, will be one of your demonstrable strengths.
