Market Development Manager
Glasgow - Scotland
Responsibilities - Responsible for developing new customers, partners and markets for the clients' flash memory product portfolio in Europe. Will be the primary marketing contact in Europe for existing customers developing portable media players and portable navigation devices. Additionally co-ordinate cross-functional efforts during the design win process and assure alignment of clients' product roadmap with key customer and partner requirements. Meet with and co-ordinate activities for other groups including Marketing, Application Engineering, Sales, Representatives and Distributors.

Person Specification - higher weighting more important
·10 - BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical degree, or equivalent industry experience in the area of Flash Memory.
·10 - MBA would be advantageous.
·10 - Minimum of 5 years experience in Flash Memory Marketing or equivalent market development activity.
·10 - Ability to understand the technical and business aspects of market and customer requirements.
·10 - Ability to assist sales people and customers in understanding the applications, features, and benefits of Flash Memory's product lines.
·10 - Experience in forecasting.
·10 - Ability to review and edit technical collateral for Flash Memory.
·10 - Excellent people management skills – able to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
·10 - Personality - confident, professional, self motivated, results driven, organised, problem solving, negotiation skills.
·10 - Other language skills would be advantageous.
·10 - Ability to interact and market directly with key personnel from purchasing, marketing, IT, etc.
·10 - Strong IT skills - Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages.
·10 - Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
