This major organisation is undertaking a huge, £1bn transformation programme that will revolutionise how they interact with their customers and manage their business. They have millions of customers and customer service is a key differentiator within their industry.

This strategic transformation programme will encompass both technology and customer-centric processes around initiatives such as CRM, Service Management and legacy system replacement.

They are looking for a number of Marketing Data Analysts who can assist with understanding the data requirements of the business and building solutions to analyse and mine huge volumes of customer data.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the business to understand how strategic business change impacts the customer database solution and data.
• Requirements gathering and documentation of change activity within the customer database and associated processes.
• Build technical solutions and create complex queries to enable analysis and mining of huge data-sets.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, understand change and communicate understanding of customer insight capabilities.
• Monitor data quality and identify improvement in data processes.
• Contribute to the ongoing strategy of data integrity and quality improvement for the customer database and associated processes.

Skills and Background Required:
• Previous experience as a data analyst working with a customer database solution (Midas preferred but any others including general RDBMS are acceptable) – ideally with extremely large data-sets.
• Proven ability to improve customer data and processes using other data management or Business Intelligence tools (SAS, ETL, Cognos, Business Objects etc).
• Good understanding of the operation and use of relational databases including strong SQL skills
• Possess an interest and understanding of data driven marketing.
• Good interpersonal and communication (verbal, listening and writing) skills.
• Numerate and intelligent – ideally educated to degree or equivalent level.

You must be a UK / EU National or already be resident in the UK and have a current Work Permit.

Qualifying Questions:
1. Have you worked as a data analyst in a marketing /customer insight role?
2. Do you have experience with business analysis tools or RDBMS working with very large data-sets
3. Are you a methodical process oriented individual with an understanding of customer marketing?
