Overview of the role

The Marketing Manager will have overall global management of business development and strategic marketing initiatives from concept to completion, focused on the Financial Services industry. Provide guidance to Consultancy-wide Integrated Sector Team (IST), in order to help build sustained revenue from managed portfolio of accounts within the Financial Services market.

Main responsibilities

* Brand: Build profile so to be seen as No 1 consulting firm in the Financial Services sector in key jurisdictions
* Strategy, Planning & Budget: The Marketing Manager will work with IST leader, Regional & Service Marketing Managers, develop a Financial Services sector focused strategy, plan and budget to take sector propositions to chosen segments. Manage IST marketing budget. Also contribute to service and regional plans as appropriate to the Financial Services sector.
* Target Clients; Working with IST leader and Account Managers, the Marketing Manager will identify key clients for developed propositions
* Sector Proposition development; Work with IST Partners to define and articulate differentiated sector cross-practice 'transformational', defining the marketing strategy and marketing activities that are led from the IST.
* Business Development: Take active management in developing existing relationships in key focus and managed accounts, as well as new relationships in target financial services accounts.
* Sector Marketing Campaigns - direction: The Marketing Manager will work with SMMs & RMMs, initiate design, deliver and evaluate a programme of marketing communications activities to take propositions to identified clients in sectors, ensuring a joined-up approach globally and ensuring brand is correctly reflected
* Customer data management; Provide team direction and develop processes to help IST team / business keep sector data up to date
* Market Knowledge: Clearly understand the Financial Services industry, its requirements and also the Consultancy's ability to meet those needs
* Internal Comms: To demonstrate the value of the IST team approach in bridging the gap between practices and regions, and promoting experience of the financial services sector.
* Line Management: Lead a potentially international IST team - including IST Marketing Executives and Co-ordinators if appropriate.


Experience

* Business development and marketing experience in professional services marketing
* Previous marketing experience within the Financial Services sector
* Experience of Account management - lead generation and business development techniques in particular
* Understanding of effectiveness of full communications mix - inc direct and online marketing, client events, PR.
* Experience in leading and motivating international team and demonstrating results
