A well-known global media / broadcasting organisation seeks a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Advertising Sales Manager to join their busy growing Emerging Markets department responsible for markets in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. They have very smart new offices in a well designed business park in West London, easily reachable by car (via M4), very close to stations – tube, Main Line (Overground) and other lines.
As an Advertising Sales Manager you will work independently to identify, research, and develop proactive proposals for new sponsorship and promotion business across key categories in ad sales markets within the Emerging Markets territories; communicate to sales reps, and assist them to pitch and close such proposals with targeted clients; act as the daily point of contact between the company and our Emerging Markets ad sales reps for reactive sponsorship requests; assist them with their information covering: creative ideas, pricing, technical aspects, research and case studies as and when they arise; liaise with all relevant company departments to ensure accurate pricing, reporting and invoicing of such insertions; smooth creative process, with relevant stages approved by all internal and external stakeholders; timely delivery and airing of sponsorship and promotional insertions; and generally support the Ad Sales Director to grow sponsorship and promotion revenue.
This position requires a demonstrable track record in sponsorship and promotion / brand partnership sales and business development; proven creative, negotiation and people skills; familiarity with Russia and Eastern European ad sales business, as well as existing ad agency / client relationships; and comfort with frequent travel to the Emerging Markets countries. Fluency in Russian language would be a distinct advantage.
This role is performance-driven, with compensation consisting of the basic salary of £40,000-50,000 (depending on experience), plus a good bonus for “on target” performance, which goes higher if the results exceed the target, so there is no fixed ceiling to your annual remuneration.
