Medical Affairs Manager
Berkshire/Surrey - London, South Central / Coast
Due to an increase in their European market share and product portfolio our client now seeks a dynamic and experienced healthcare professional to play a pivotal part in running the Medical Affairs function for a major therapy area within the UK.
The ideal individual will be an experienced healthcare professional who is either working within the pharmaceutical sector or who wants to make the transition into it. As the Medical Advisor you will be responsible for all aspects of running the medical affairs programme including KOL management/ liaison, clinical trial development and implementation as well planning and launching key market and product development initiatives within the UK market.
Furthermore, as the lead medical advisor you will provide support and advice to the commercial teams and act as the first point of contact for the governing health authorities and interest / patient groups. This is a highly visible role within the company as the UK is a key market for the therapy area and as a result the Medical Advisor will work closely with their European and Global counterparts.
As an individual you will be a team player and show real empathy for patient care. We are particularly interested with people who have a background in nephrology or transplantation. As a result we will certainly consider Senior Staff Nurses for example (or equivalent) who can demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of these areas.
The company is a market leader in a number of key therapy areas within the Europe and consequently this role will appeal to someone who seeks to develop and extend their experience within a blue chip environment against a diverse and intellectually demanding cultural backdrop.
The role will be based in the UK and the company will provide relocation costs and support accordingly.
