National Account Manager - Food

Our Client has been established for 25 years and has built an enviable food-loving sales and marketing company who take a simple yet sophisticated approach to business. They create, develop and supply great private label desserts, ice cream and party foods to UK grocery retailers and foodservice organisations.

The Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this is an extremely exciting and highprofile opportunity for the right candidate to manage and grow an existing portfolio of grocery retail and foodservice accounts at national level, which will include at least one top tier multiple. The role offers autonomy, with full budget and P&L responsibility and the successful candidate will negotiate buying and selling prices and lead the NPD process for their accounts. Time will be split between customer facing meetings across the UK, European travel to meet with our principal suppliers and one or two days in the office
working as part of a close knit, hardworking, fun and friendly team.

You will have current account management experience as the lead or deputy contact with at least one of the big four UK grocery supermarkets, preferably within the food sector.
