Network Engineer
Windsor - Thames Valley
My client an international market leader, is recruiting for a network engineer to provide network analysis, design, support and maintenance of the clients international networks. The successful candidates responsibilities will include: network design and optimization; maintenance and monitoring of CiscoSecure, CiscoWorks and Solarwinds; maintenance and monitoring of LAN & WAN networks; helpdesk ticket and support escalations for network, phone, VPN and other issues; firewall configuration support; maintenance and monitoring of VPN concentrators; provide necessary reporting support for SOX compliance; setup, configure, amd maintain wireless access points;keep documented work procedures up to date and provide 7x24 rotational on call support. The candidate must build and maintain a team relationship within IT, collaborate with related internal departments and build and enhance relationships with all territories and suppliers. Key skills will include; possessing a thorough understanding of TCP/IP based networks, including associated technologies like; VPNs, IPSEC, and MPLS and BGP routing evidenced by 5+ years of experience in corporate LAN/WAN administration; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; detail- and results-orientation with ability to effectively prioritise assignments in order to respond to changing business priorities; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and strong understanding of generally accepted network design standards and operations.
