Network Security and Solution Engineer
Staines - South East
Our client is looking for a candidate with the following skills -
Role:
•Review design configuration documentation for standards conformance and best practice.
•In conjunction with the solution delivery team, project manager, and client, build and configure networking and security equipment required for the successful delivery of a client solution.
•Provide support to the Network and Security Support Analyst and Operations team for networking and security technical assistance.
•Ensuring clients & partners are regularly updated on the current status of issues.
•Ensure that knowledge is retained through documentation of procedures and knowledge-base articles.
Person:
•Must have excellent client communications skills, and experience of working in a dynamic team environment.
•Demonstrable track record of the build, configuration and support of core network enterprise infrastructure and devices around Cisco technologies (Cisco router, Cisco & checkpoint firewall and switching hardware, Cisco software including Cisco Works and ACS, content switching & load balancing)
•Knowledge & demonstrable experience around routing and switching technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, STP, HSRP & VRRP.
•Knowledge & experience around VPN technologies specifically IPSec LAN to LAB and VPN client software
•Experience in the build & configuration of enterprise class, high availability, networking and security equipment on a large project by project basis.
•Experience in supporting high availability customer-focused network environments.
•CCNA certified. CCNP certified. CCDA as a desirable (or studying towards).
•Degree educated or equivalent experience.
•Knowledge and experience of ITIL standards desirable.
