New Business Executive – property software

Our client is a leading, well established supplier of software and services to the real estate sector with a high reputation for the quality of its products. They offer an excellent working environment providing career advancement opportunities.

A New Business Executive is required to join the Business Development team with the key objectives to:

• Work with the Sales Director to achieve the new business sales targets.
• Know and understand all the company’s solutions software and service offerings.
• Understand potential new client’s requirements and to prove the company’s ability to meet those requirements through the transfer of industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Maximise chargeable revenue opportunities.
• Keep up to date with the development of the products.

Responsibilities include to:

• Cultivate and follow through new sales opportunities throughout the UK.
• Sell company products and services as part of the Business Development team and achieve personal target.
• Maintain a minimum weekly activity of sales calls and presentations.
• Be able to demonstrate all the company’s software and describe service offerings.
• Portray the company to the outside world in accordance with agreed marketing messages.
• Conform to established standards, procedures and controls and implementing continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure the protection of the company interests through the appropriate use of formal communication with clients and suppliers.

Currently, you could be any of the following with a view to a move into a new challenging environment:

• A software solutions sales executive – any complex application, preferably with a financial emphasis.
• In a consultancy role at a real estate software provider.
• An expert property software user.
• A property manager with software solutions experience.

Any knowledge of property management systems such as Horizon, Tramps, BluBox, o6ix, Trimble Manhattan, Yardi, MRI, Propman, Qube, APB, Argus, Circle, KEL, SAP Re, Cougar, Taliance or similar would be very relevant, although training will be provided in the company’s products. Ultimately, with training, you will have enough property and accounting knowledge to be credible with any member of staff or customer about relevant business issues.

Salary is expected to be around £50k plus a commission of £7k for a realistic, achievable on-target performance and in addition there are excellent benefits. Commission is uncapped and escalates above target. A higher reward will be considered for a truly exceptional candidate. This is a well-established and successful company with clients throughout the UK.

You can be based at the company’s London offices or home based providing you are able to attend the offices initially for training and subsequently periodically to work with the team. Some travel within the UK will be required.
