Online Marketing Manager

We require an online marketing manager to sit within the online marketing team of a major blue chip client managing creative for very large, dynamic online marketing campaigns. This client has a significant online budget and this is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with a high profile, innovative organisation.

Key areas of expertise (you should have proven skills in more than two of these disciplines):
• Email marketing - including testing, creative and delivery
• Landing page development - strategy, design and optimisation
• Online Cross sell/ upsell - working with technical teams to identify and implement online cross sell activity
• Online Media - creative and media planning and implementation
• Others - Affiliate management, PPC advertising), media buying, media optimisation/trafficking, online loyalty programs, member get member schemes.

Key responsibilities:
• Writing creative briefs
• Evaluation of creative through from scamps to sign-off
• Managing internal processes and stakeholders
• Liaison and management of online media agencies and media owners for trafficking
• Liaison with internal legal and brand teams for sign-off
• Evaluation of online advertising creative results and recommendations based on these results
• Proactive idea generation
• Control of creative budget
• Negotiation of creative costs
• Managing internal teams for landing page builds
• Presenting reports and results to senior management
• Keep abreast of developments in the online marketplace and with partners in order to identify opportunities for partnership development

Client Role:
• You will be working initially within the Online Business Unit (OBU) who are responsible for driving traffic to all audience based online properties.
• The role will require you to hit traffic targets for the online business unit through the use of online marketing.
• Specifically this will include Search, Cross promotion, External media, Email marketing and experimental media.
• Client side creative and technical skills will be required to be successful in the role.

Key requirements:
• Be able to absorb large amounts of information and data in order to be able to understand our clients business
• Have an excellent background in managing online advertising campaigns
• Understanding of opportunities/effectiveness/limitations of various types of ad formats and technologies
• Understanding of importance and opportunities presented by landing page strategies
• Work well under pressure to tight deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Motivated by targets/results
• Used to operating at senior management level
• Excellent presentation skills
• Experience/understanding of behavioural targeting would be a plus (not essential)
