The company
Our client is one of the top distribution companies in the UK whose business continues to grow based upon excellent levels of service to its customers
The role
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Operations will drive the end to end Supply Chain operation, developing and implementing best practice processes.
As significant growth is planned through acquisition you will reinvigorate the operation and prepare the company for sustainable culturechange and business expansion. By quickly establishing current operational capability, your key tasks are to develop and implement capacity plans, improve the sales, inventory & operational planning and achieve demanding distribution levels whilst maintaining exemplary health and safety standards increasing productivity, quality and yield. You will demonstrate success in leadership and will drive improved performance through lean operations with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills you will also possess the drive and enthusiasm to make a difference.
The applicant
A passion for making things happen, a good organiser with the ability to
successfully manage multiple tasks Previous experience of leading/managing acquisitions would be a distinct advantage.
Experience of working with an international supply base, preferably within the FMCG or drinks sector.
The ability to lead a varied team, to motivate and nurture whilst imparting knowledge
A commercial, yet process driven mind set with strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the concept of internal customer service.
Tenacity and attention to detail to ensure no opportunities are missed and that potential commercial risks are minimised. Fully I.T.literate
You will be a strategic thinker with the intellect and drive to make a difference.
An individual with a presence, who knows their professional and personal ambitions and goals in the next few years.
