With sales revenues c£80m and UK privately owned, this group specialises in the provision of switching and protection systems for electrical distribution systems for power utility and industrial applications. Its technology is at the cutting edge of MV switchgear design and innovation.
A vertically integrated group, its prime manufacturing operation is located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, which serves the Middle East markets directly and other markets either directly or indirectly. Components are sourced externally from several countries, and internally from group companies.
This new role reports to the Group Operations Director based in the UK, taking full responsibility for all aspects of the operations in Dubai, primarily an electro-mechanical, batch, line processing and assembly facility, of safety critical capital equipment and systems. There will be a strong interface with the Group Sales and Marketing Director who is also located in Dubai as are other senior managers.
You are likely to be degree qualified with a relevant post-graduate qualification with end to end experience in a similar manufacturing entity, encompassing the management of the inbound and outbound supply chain, procurement, manufacturing engineering, component manufacturing and assembly. Strongly business systems and process improvement orientated, you will have managed multi-cultural teams outside of the UK operating to high customer service standards in an international context.
The position necessitates residing in this attractive part of the region. Remuneration will include a supporting package, the content of which will depend upon the appointed candidate’s personal circumstances.
