A leading provider of performance electronic products, our client prides itself on its high quality ethic, product innovation and ability to deliver and service a very demanding and discerning global client base. In order to maintain a competitive edge within this highly aggressive market place, they now seek to recruit a proven Operations Director, capable of delivering sustainable market growth through operational effectiveness.
The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, with full end to end operational accountability, your remit is to drive and increase business performance, creating sustainability through the establishment of a culture of continuous improvement. Championing “Best Practice” in world class manufacturing standards, you will develop excellence through benchmarking process performance, creating robust operating procedures and a right first time ethic throughout. Working as a leading member of a dynamic UK management team, the prime measure of success will be your ability to formulate and execute the strategic operational plan in line with commercial activity.
The Requirements:
Ideally of graduate calibre within an engineering/electronics or allied discipline, you will have a demonstrable track record of operational management at a strategic level gained ideally within a fast paced responsive world class manufacturing environment. A tough minded and highly experienced change agent, possessing a demonstrable track record of delivering operational excellence through process re-engineering, cultural alignment and continuous improvement. You will have an in-depth understanding and working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, TPM and Six Sigma) and possess strong leadership and motivational skills.
