Operations Director - Poland

The company design, supply and construct advanced steam generation technology for the power industry. It develops some of the cleanest, most efficient coal-powered plant in the world. It is also a leading energy services company operating in the thermal power, nuclear, oil & gas and petrochemical industries. Through its innovation the company support and enhance the service life of energy assets across the world. With global headquarters in the UK, and subsidiary companies located in Germany and Poland, it employs around 5,500 personnel.

As a result of continual international expansion, it is growing their worldwide operations. We are currently recruiting for an Operations Director to develop their Polish subsidiary, which provides Material Handling, Boiler and Turbine construction and maintenance services.


The role calls for an individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a proven track record in leadership in order to drive the business and individuals forward. Experience in interfacing with clients and teams from out with Poland will be a distinct advantage.

An industry specialist with a suitable degree in Mechanical Engineering, have extensive knowledge in project and risk management and a good understanding of heath, safety and quality controls.
You will also need to have significant combined construction operations and management experience, and will have managed multi-disciplined engineering teams in the execution of projects.

With significant knowledge of the Energy industry, you will be involved in supporting energy projects including power stations, petrochemical construction and maintenance and provide support to proposals and procurement functions.


Highly experienced, with a relevant degree and chartered membership of an appropriate professional body, your leadership, communications and influencing skills will be critical as is your ability to work with complex qualitative and quantitative data. Analysing performance of internal and external customers, as well as raising the internal awareness of commercial “risk” will play a key part in this highly customer focused role.
