Operations Manager

An opportunity exists for an accomplished manufacturing and supply chain professional to join one of the largest and most successful injection moulding plastics sites within this major UK packaging Group. Through a team of 200 staff, across 5 shifts, covering planning, manufacturing, warehousing and procurement control, you will be responsible for delivering consistent OTIF of 99% to a demanding blue chip customer base. After 5 years of showing continual improvement on H&S, absence, OEE and OTIF, your challenge will be to lead, motivate and strengthen the factory management team to achieve further efficiency improvements and reduction in working capital, in order to deliver unrivaled levels of operational performance.
Applicants will ideally be degree qualified with previous manufacturing/operations management experience gained in an injection moulding or similar high volume processing environment with the necessary combination of strategic thinking and practical leadership ability which will be key to this role.
