Operations Manager

Our Client is a key supplier to the commercial/civil, regional and business aerospace markets. They have a vast portfolio of systems ranging from, aerostructures and actuation systems to landing gear, engine control systems, sensors and safety systems. Due to company growth they are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join the management team.
The Role: Operations Manager
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
+ Managing leading and motivating the module teams
+ Contributing to the strategic planning process of developing and implementing the operations strategy across the manufacturing module
+ Developing module policy and strategy in line with company requirements
+ Managing the module logistics resource and maintain consistent communication throughout the supply chain
+ Ensure demand is managed in the autonomous module structure and a level demand schedule is communicated to the supply base
+ Ensure capacity and capability are continually planned in order to meet agreed customer requirements
+ Performance management and development of all module employees
+ Application of Lean techniques and principles through the structure of Workshops
Experience:
As Operations Manager you will have experience of:
+ Degree Qualified or equivalent
+ Experience of achieving targets in a dynamic manufacturing environment
+ Excellent knowledge of and a champion of the latest manufacturing techniques, eg. Lean Manufacturing
+ Ability to develop others through the use of a variety of techniques, e.g. coaching, mentoring
+ Ability to lead, motivate and build teams
+ Proven Management experience is essential
