Operations Manager

My client is a highly successful provider of mission critical software and systems into the international defence community with customers in over twenty major nations. They have a track record of innovation that has seen them deliver some of the most advanced integrated battlefield command and control systems in the world and partner with all the major players in the defence community. They are now looking to strengthen their operational and financial capabilities in the UK with the addition of an Operations Manager.
The Operations Manager will take responsibility for the operational, programme, financial and administrative aspects of the UK operation. This will include leading project delivery teams, local engineering capability and finance as well as providing input on systems and process development. Profitability and efficiency will be your key drivers ensuring that the UK division is managed as effectively as possible to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have a strong operational background with good experience of project and programme management, probably gained in a software or IT environment, and excellent interpersonal skills. He or she will probably have had international exposure, worked within a matrixed organisation and will be a natural organiser. Above all, you will be a leader, able to inspire and motivate those around you to achieve beyond their own expectations.
