Operations Manager

We are currently working with a growing and well established manufacturing and logistics company that serves London and the South.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team based in Southend.

The Operations Manger will be an integral part of the business and will manage 6 direct reports including a Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, Maintenance Manager, Transport Manager, Quality Manager and Health & Safety Manager with a further 150 indirect reports.
The Operations Manager will focus heavily on continuous improvement for the business. This is a hands on role for someone who can implement strategies, build relationships with the existing team and drive effective change through people and process.

Main Responsibilities will include:

*Driving continuous improvement agenda throughout the operation in process and work flow.
*Using natural creativity, energy and ideas to introduce new concepts and innovations.
*Work with existing Managers within the business to identify areas of improvement/change.
*Being hands on and building strong relationships with all members of staff.
*Effectively communicate visions, KPI's, targets to the entire team from shop floor to management.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

*Extensive operations experience within a manufacturing environment.
*Experience of fulfilment on short lead times and the ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure.
*An excellent communicator who can work with all members of staff at all levels and build relationships.
*Ability to form strategies and implement these across the business.
*Experience of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
