Operations Manager - Telecoms

An experienced Operations Manager is sought to manage our clients Technical Centre in the West Midlands, at an exciting stage of strategic development within the business. It is essential that candidates have a proven track record of guiding a Technical Service Centre, and has experience associated with the supply and after-market support of either telecoms or other relevant customer premises OEM infrastructure systems.

JOB TITLE: UK Operations Manager
LOCATION: West Midlands
BASIC: £50-55K + Bonus + Car + Benefits

THE ROLE

• Reporting to the Managing Director / General Manager, with full participation as a member of the Management Team
• Lead in-house and field-based teams, to design and implement operational strategies to achieve world class customer service and delivery standards
• Work closely with Divisional Group companies across Europe to exploit the synergies of technical developments and sector specialisation
• Exercise exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire employees to identify with and support the vision and objectives of the company
• Support sales and customers by building strong relationships with key accounts and customers.

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The successful candidate will possess the following experience and attributes,

• Be an experienced Operations Manager with a strong technical background
• A proven and successful track record of guiding a Technical Service Centre
• Experience of telecoms or other related infrastructure systems in the commercial and industrial built environment, which will include aftermarket services provision
• Be a charismatic leader with outstanding interpersonal skills, who leads from the front
• Able to build strong and effective relationships at all levels both internally and with customers
• An enthusiastic collaborator and team player at company and divisional level
• Have experience of delivering change and the ability to identify innovative ideas for areas of continuous improvement within the teams
• Hold a demonstrative knowledge of ERP systems.
