COUNTRY MANAGER – EUROPE

The Country Managers for Spain, France and UK will report to the Genral Manager – Europe (based in Madrid), who in his turn reports to the Sandals Director (based in Sao Paulo).

The primary mission of this executive will be to lead the sales and commercial activity in his/her respective country, meeting the growth and profitability targets and respecting the brand positioning defined by the corporation.

Each of the country managers will have as direct reports in their organizations:
- 1-2 Key Account Managers
- 1-2 Agents Managers (who will control a network of independent agents)
- 1 Local Marketing, to execute trade marketing and events

The precise organization will vary country by country, according to current business size and market characteristics. Organized markets (UK and France) tend to have more Key Accounts and less Agents.

This organization must be fully functional in July 2008, in order to contact clients and make the pre-sales for the 2008-2009 Summer season. The sales team must be hired and trained by then. The structure should grow as the business develops.

The Country Managers will have to consolidate the presence in Europe, working together with the General Manager, Europe and his team. For that, he or she will have key priorities:
· Develop strong and productive relationships with key customers. Develop new customers and be the key player in channel conflict resolution.
· Refine and implement strategies / policies to be in place in terms of channel (management of distributors, wholesalers, key accounts, etc.) and marketing (point of sale, pricing and promotion), according to the policies determined by regional and global headquarters.
· Build effective sales organizations that will be capable of both reaching the volumes in the plan and maintaining the brand image.
· Be aware of the market, trends and desires of the channel, continuously anticipating changes in competitor activities and channel needs.
· For France and UK, establish the business infra-structure in cooperation with the functional managers from the Madrid headquarters. Work with the Administrative Manager from headquarters to establish commercial infra-structure (office, systems, IT) in the country. Work with the Logistics manager to define and implement required supply chain structure in the country, with specific care to service level required by clients and customer service.
