Planning Manager/Architect

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Architect or Development Planning Manager to join one of the world’s leading retailers to focus on their mixed used property development schemes...

You are responsible for creating and delivering the best comprehensive layouts for multiple use site development whilst ensuring that all of our requirements meet strategy and standards are not compromised, with KPIs reported and minuted.

The job role:
- My plans make the best use of the site and are approved by governance groups
- My plans are produced on time to enable site purchase and planning applications
- The property acquisition team are fully briefed on plan development
- I understand all strategy requirements for my region and all plans meet company strategy
- I effectively manage consultants to continuously improve their performance and output
- I lead the development of plans that are as close to the format and guiding principles as possible
- I submit the best feasibility plans to support property acquisition committee submission
- I identify opportunities to improve processes to gain consistency and accuracy in the development of the planning function

You will be/have:
- Qualified as an architect or equivalent RIBA or equivalent
- Good understanding of mixed use developments including multiple retail and housing
- Good commercial awareness
- Good understanding of government planning and building control regulations
- Knowledge of planning legislation
- Experience of presenting to and influencing governance groups for planning approval
- Knowledge of sustainability
- Highways planning knowledge

You will be a graduate or equivalent with a construction industry background ideally having accreditation through RIBA, and preferably with some large mixed use retail or international experience.
