Plant Manager – High Volume Packaging

An opportunity exists for an accomplished operations professional to join a highly successful, major UK packaging Group. With an annual turnover c£10m p.a., the business manufactures thermoformed packaging, supporting a demanding blue chip customer base and offering added value processes and high levels of customer service.
Reporting to the General Manager and, through a team of 100 people across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Technical functions, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to maximize efficiencies, including delivering consistent OTIF of in excess of 98%.
Having demonstrated continual improvement across H&S, absence, OEE and OTIF, your challenge will be to lead, motivate and strengthen the site team to achieve further efficiency improvements, whilst strengthening engineering practices and developing systems and processes, in order to deliver unrivaled levels of operational performance.
Applicants will ideally be degree qualified, with operational management experience gained in a packaging or similar high volume processing environment - experience of thermoforming and/or extrusion processes, whilst advantageous, is not essential. With a strong engineering bias, you will be an accomplished people manager with a hands-on approach, able to demonstrate a sound track record of operational improvement.
