Practice Partner

McGinnis Loy Associates are working with a Top15 Accountancy Firm who are currently looking for an Audit Partner (General Practice Partner) to join their expanding team in the Thames Valley. Working with three other partners and a wider team of c40 staff, their service lines include Tax, Audit, Accounts and Corporate Finance. The role would ideally suit an ACA or ACCA Qualified who is currently a Partner in another firm, or an ambitious Senior Manager or Director looking for their first Partnership role. With an equity stake in the firm available at some future point, key duties include:

• Working with a current portfolio of HNW individuals and businesses up to £40m across the Thames Valley
• Overseeing a team of Qualified/Part-Qualified staff (Managers and Junior staff) for this regional office
• Acting as the focal point for providing business support and advice to a wide-ranging and growing portfolio, hopefully with your own client following too
• Assisting clients with accounting/tax implications surrounding business acquisitions & disposals
• Tax, accounts and audit planning for individuals and businesses alike
• Supporting the other partners and senior management team on ad-hoc or complex corporate projects
• Assisting with business development for the office and providing input to the long term business strategy
• Proactively cross-selling and seek out business development opportunities, and participating fully in new client pitches

To be considered for the position you should be able to run your own portfolio of clients, have excellent staff supervision and a desire to support ongoing client development and winning new business. For a current Partner in another firm or an ambitious Senior Manager/Director, this is a great opportunity if you are wanting to work alongside an entrepreneurial and motivated team to grow a business and reap the rewards with an equity offering.

On offer is a salary up to £100/120,000 depending on experience and fee-following + equity + benefits including holidays, pension scheme and healthcare.
