Principle Mechanical Engineer

Our client is a leader in the design and manufacture of Bio-decontamination solutions for the military and public sectors. They are now looking to recruit a Principle Mechanical Engineer.

The Role – Principle Mechanical Engineer
You will be a highly competent Mechanical Engineer with a good understanding of materials, Stress, Thermal and FEA. The role will involve doing calculations and making key decisions. You will have to check and guide any computer analysis by others. You will be responsible for a team of 4 Design Engineers and will also be responsible for deciding on appropriate testing and writing plans.

The Candidate – You will be degree educated in Mechanical Engineering and have experience of the following:
- Designing items including associated calculations and analysis.
- Held a Senior Mechanical Engineering position
- Competent with proven track record of engineering calculation
- Understanding of plastics is important as well as appreciation of thermal effects and EMC issues
- A good knowledge of Pro-Engineer Wildfire and Pro-Mechanica would be preferred, however other 3D modelling packages will be considered.
