Procurement Consultant

My client has a very strong and fast growing Procurement team and is highly regarded as a leader in the field. This is a continued focus for the organisation and as such, they are recruiting at all levels for the team - from Junior Consultant to Managing Consultant.

The focus of the role will be on identifying innovative and tailored ways of working within Procurement functions and improving relevant operations, processes and systems to deliver improved performance and business results.

Requirements
· Relevant Procurement experience within blue chip consulting or industry. Senior Managers require consulting experience. Relevant industries include:
· Public Sector, Resources, Retail, Life Sciences and Telecoms.
· Deep understanding and project involvement in at least 1 of the following:
o Supplier/vendor development or management
o Category management
o e-sourcing/eAuctions
o Procurement organisational change
· Strong analytical, project management and interpersonal skills
· Min 2:1 in a numerate subject. An MBA/MSC/CIPS is desirable
· Experience of techniques such as Lean 6 sigma would be useful
· Eligibility to work in the UK
