My client is a niche consulting firm, focused on Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics and Customer Relationship Management. It is successfully incorporated in Europe and the focus is on building the business in the Middle East. The consultancy is fast moving and entrepreneurial in its aproach. It can offer consultants a rewarding and refreshing career path with the autonony to make key decisions. Based out of Bahrain, they are looking to hire a Practice Lead to develop the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing buinsess.
Among the leaders in this field, the consultancy works with major international companies, on large scale and international projects; on strategy development to operational implementation. This is a key role for an individual to develop a team of experienced consultants who will focus on the delivery of new and existing projects. They are unique through their pragmatic and operational approach.
Key responsibilities:
To develop the company's internal ability to lead and deliver the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing offering.
Business development & approach development for consulting assignments.
To assist with the building of the practice through recruitment & development of current staff.
Assist in building market profile in this area - conferences / articles / direct marketing.
To act as a Procurement expert on key systems or BPO/Change implementation projects.
To lead & mentor members of the practice.
To meet sales & profitability targets.
Key requirements:
A degree calibre candidate with a leading university. Post graduate qualifications, especially an MBA would be highly desirable
A substantial track record of leading Procurement and Strategic Sourcing projects in consultancy or in industry
Planning expertise (S&OP, MRP, MPS, DRP)
Experience in process optimization assignments.
Manufacturing knowledge is a distinct advantage (six sigma, lean process, 5S).
