Procurement Manager - Heavy Engineering

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Procurement Manager with substantial experience gained in a large complex manufacturing environment.

Our client is in the process of consolidating all site spend and the individual appointed will have the ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels across multiple sites.

Role

Lead the Purchasing team to ensure that strategies
are developed and that commercial agreements are in place to meet site demand whilst ensuring that best commercial terms are agreed.

Accountabilities

Develop procurement strategies for all engineering material and equipment including high value, complex equipment

Achieve on time delivery to meet maintenance projects and turnaround requirements.

Provide expert advice on procurement related risks.

Develop and recommend contract styles that are legally binding, that mitigate commercial risk and that drive appropriate supplier behaviour.

Identify, assess and recommend new suppliers.

Requirements

Degree/MCIPS qualified

Proven track record of procuring high value contracts

Expert negotiation skills
