My client is an international provider of banking and insurance services to personal, business and institutional customers. The company delivers a total package of financial products and services through its own high-performance channels and via intermediaries and other partners. There is currently an opening for an experienced procurement professional to create a robust and efficient function to assist in achieving long and short term cost savings. This is a new role and the postholder will have full autonomy over the department.
Currently the budget is £23m and this covers all indirect spend within the organisation. The procurement function will support eight regional offices and there is an opportunity to affect the international spend. Ideally we are looking for someone with substantial experience of managing indirect categories as well as strong influencing skills to create a mandate.
