My client is the UK's best known provider of private healthcare. Due to continued expansion, there exists an opportunity to join the procurement team in an exciting and varied role.
The department is responsible for the management of c£1.2bn of annual spend across a diverse provider base comprising hospitals, facilities providers, doctors and other medical professionals. Whereas the Commissioning Team is responsible for the commercial relationship with and performance management of these providers. Such activity includes contract negotiation, service line tendering, implementation of improved remuneration models, provider performance management and process control programmes.
The role of Commissioning Strategy Manager has been established to sit alongside the commissioning managers and ensure that the overall Commissioning Strategy is developed and understood by all key stakeholders and that the business processes required to deliver it are operating effectively and consistently across all relevant teams.

Accountabilities and Activities:
The Commissioning Strategy Manager is accountable for:
Working with the Head of Purchasing to design and deliver of the overall commissioning strategy drawing input from all key stakeholders inside and outside the business.
The establishment and effective operation of formal processes for ongoing management of relationships with all internal stakeholders for the PMI commissioning team including the medical team, HCP operations, finance, sales, marketing corporate communications, product development and service delivery..
The introduction of new providers to the organisation covering hospitals, other facilities providers, doctors and other clinicians.
The ongoing management of internal and external communications which relate to the activities of the PMI Commissioning team as well as colleagues in the related medical and operational areas where such activities relate to, support or are part of delivery of the overall Commissioning Strategy.
Putting in place formal relationship management processes for all external and internal stakeholder groups and acting as the PMI Commissioning point person for internal groups
Co-ordinating the team's interface with UKM sales areas ensuring that presentation materials used by the team in external and internal events are both accurate and up to date.
