Our client is a world leading organisation creating cutting edge technology and transforming the way people use their mobile devices. They are now looking for an experienced Product Manager to join an exciting and growing area of their business based in Germany.
Description:
You will join a highly motivated and growing international team of product managers and engineers where your focus will be on the development and management of the Route Planning & Visual Guidance product. In this dynamic role you will be part of a high-achieving team which is creating the best navigation services for customers around the world. This is one of the core areas in the Location Based Services environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
* You will create the specifications and definitions for the products, features and applications by monitoring and synthesising market data, customer feedback and technical possibilities
* You will work collaboratively with engineers, other product managers and user interface designers in other groups internally and externally, managing the full product lifecycle and ensuring successful product roll-out
* You will become an expert in your product field and the commercial landscape and you will share this information within the business
Candidate Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Business or related field
* Previous experience with complex scalable service development projects
* Previous experience in software development, product development or technical product management
* Ideally you will have experience of working within the navigation / LBS/ GPS arena and have a good understanding of these products
* Experience in account management
* The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and the drive to become an expert in your product field within the business
* Fluent English (written and spoken)
Special conditions:
You will be joining a truly international team based in Germany- a relocation package will be available should the right candidate not currently be living in Germany.
