Job Title : Product Champion – Wholesale Bank Audit
Group Internal Audit for a global bank

Location : Singapore/Hong Kong

Salary £70k to £80k


Job Purpose
To undertake risk assessments and perform or lead, where directed, internal audit engagements of (primarily) Capital Markets/Global Markets businesses to deliver the audit plan established in conjunction with relevant members of the Functional Teams.


Key Accountabilities
 To support the Functional Audit Head in maintaining and developing effective working relationships with Management of Capital Markets business units.
 Perform, support or lead where directed, the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established standards and timelines.
 Assist the Functional Audit Head in ongoing business risk assessment and application of via Assurance Needs Assessment (ANA); interim monitoring and production of Risk Control Matrices (RCM) for Capital Markets businesses.
 Provide non-assurance services to business units where required, through participation on advisory engagements / special projects within the Group.
 Participate and add value to GIA projects as requested on ad hoc basis.
 Assist and be proactive in the adoption and application of new audit methodology.
 Where undertaking the role of Team Leader, provide interim performance feedback to team members.
 Share knowledge, skills and experience with team members to guide and assist in their development.
 To identify and escalate significant issues.
 Deputise in Process Governance Committees (PGC) as requested.
 Regular attendance and input into Product Champion calls.


Key Attributes
 Professional auditors or business practitioners with core audit / business skills.
 Effective teamwork skills that contribute to positive working relationships with counterparts in Group Audit and the business.
 Demonstrates ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed.
 Demonstrates ability to multi-task without loss of quality.
 Flexibility to work across different functions and situations globally, and change priorities at short notice.
 Demonstrates ability to assimilate information and identify and consider risk and develop appropriate solutions.
 Effective oral and written communication skills.
 Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the Group’s core values.
 Engagement in professional certification activities, including completion of mandatory Bank-sponsored industry certification (e.g. credit, trade finance etc.) where appropriate.
 Professional audit certification encouraged.
 Ability to commit to > 40% business travel.
 Ability to perform role of “Product Champion”.
