Product Executive - Asset Management

My client is one of the leading Asset Management firms based in the City. We are looking to recruit a Product Executive on a permanent basis, to assist in the design and development of new product initiatives and to contribute fully to the management of the ongoing range of products.

Salary: £50k - £65k + Bonus + Benefits

Key Responsibilities
• Working with the Product Strategy Director for property and those with responsibility for product strategy for the other asset classes:
- Product development; support the Product Strategy asset class heads in the development of the product set to ensure it is aligned with corporate strategy.
- Product management; support the Product Strategy asset class heads in the ongoing, proactive management of the existing product set to ensure it remains fit for purpose. Play a leading role in managing the ongoing review process for all existing products and gaining approval for changes.
- Provide input, as required, to associated implementation projects.
• Assist in maintaining and developing the Product Development process and the Product Management process and ensuring all initiatives go through these processes.
• Development of knowledge on key product related areas and assessing their impact. In particular, liaising with other potential sources of market data, establishing information contacts within the industry in order to gain access to non-published product and market information.
• Carry out appropriate market, product and competitor research, with analysis, to provide input to product development and management. Provide benchmarking of the product set against competition.
• Produce and maintain library of up to date product specifications and product reviews as part of the annual fund review process.

Skills & Knowledge
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• IMC, CFA or other relevant qualification preferred but not required
• Asset management experience and/ or experience in managing and developing financial services products
• Understanding of the UK Retail financial services market and its various product structures and prevailing investment processes
• Good knowledge of IT tools (esp. Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint) and data systems (e.g. S&P Micropal, Lipper, Bloomberg etc)
