Product Manager
Central London - London
As a Product Manager within this Group, you will drive the business justification and requirements for supplier-related projects at one of the largest travel agencies in the world. This Product Manager will focus on Air/Car/Rail products and will primarily serve the European and Asia-Pacific points of sale.
This Group is responsible for all partner relationships with the website suppliers, as well as its GDS and other technology partners. Its mission is to deliver the worlds best selection of travel products and services to points of sale around the world, thus delivering incremental revenue to our partners in the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Set, track, analyse and communicate the business goals for projects and drive integration of strategic initiatives, developing detailed Business Requirements Documents.
• Build effective relationships with key internal business teams
• Identify, size and prioritize opportunities according to revenue potential, making recommendations relating to key projects
• Collaborate with the development teams to evaluate technical options; understand schedule and resource constraints
• Evaluate results of completed projects
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience understanding, communicating, and prioritizing technology business requirements in a role such as Product Planner, Product Manager, Project Manager, Program Manager, or Management Consultant.
• Bachelors degree required.
• MBA is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of the travel industry, including CRS/GDS system experience strongly preferred Considerable international travel is required for this position.
• Applicants must have ability to travel to the USA, and throughout Europe and Asia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Applicants must be able to cultivate strong working relationships and drive collaboration across multiple business and technical teams.
• Experience creating frameworks to assess new business opportunities.
• Candidate should be a self-starter with demonstrated strengths managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them to completion with limited direction.
• Proficiency in Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, required; SQL skills desirable.
