PRODUCTION MANAGER (FOOD)
LOCATION:North Yorkshire
SALARY AND BENEFITS:£50,000
COMPANY INFORMATION:
- Blue chip Food manufacturing company.
- Food products manufactured are various types of savoury snacks.
- 200 employees on site plus fluctuating temporary staff.
- Customers include most supermarkets and high street stores.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Senior production management experience within an FMCG environment.
- Formal managerial qualifications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Planning organising and analytical skills.
- High standards of written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Tenacious, self motivated, visionary and stress tolerant.
- Understanding of Quality & Hygiene requirements within a food manufacturing environment.
- Understands the need to monitor, control and reduce production costs.
- Capable leader and strong man manager.
- Experience in building relationships with other departments and managers.
- Experience in developing teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate.
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Food manufacturing experience.
- 10 - 15 years of senior managerial experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience of managing teams working various shift patterns.
ROLE INFORMATION:
- Assume full responsibility for your manufacturing area on shift and work with the Operations Director driving improvement across the site to achieve world class.
- Contribute to the overall site strategic plan and actively participate in production and managerial meetings.
- Accountable for area Q.C.D.S objectives and monitoring of departmental K.P.I's
- Develop, implement and supervise continuous improvement projects.
- Actively promote team working both with the manufacturing area and with other manufacturing departments etc.
