A professional (Chartered) Tunnel Design Engineer is required to join this well-known multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
Successful applicants will have the chance to working a number of existing and future projects in Australia in either the Melbourne or Sydney office. Recently their business has been growing and is expected to continue to do so in the coming years as Australia becomes the Centre of Excellence for tunnelling in Asia Pacific region.
In your role you will be required to provide innovative and technically robust solutions to clients to agreed time, budget and to satisfaction. You will also to provide leadership in technical delivery to the less experienced members of staff.
Minimum qualifications for this role are:
· 5-10 years experience of a range of consultancy assignments within their own field.
· Degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in associated subject
· Chartered IEA or ICE
Key areas of responsibility:
· Meet project deliverables in a timely manner and to budget
· Minimise potential risks
· Promote continuous improvement to the way projects are delivered and therefore increased success in winning new work in the future.
Key areas of responsibility
· Undertake project roles and tasks as appropriate to experience and as agreed with the management of the Tunnels team.
· Act as Work Package Manager or Project Manager on various projects as required.
· Act as a Work Package Manager or Project Manager, report regularly to the Project Manager on day-to-day project performance and provide feedback to as required.
· Manage the technical outputs and contributes to quality assurance of projects.
· Liaise closely with Engineering Manager and Project Engineer
· Manage package budgets
· Promote quality improvement and ensure the business principles and business systems are adhered to in respect to project delivery
