Programme Manager - Hertfordshire
Watford - London, South East
Superb opportunity to join a well established and entrepreneurial technology solutions provider as a programme manager focused on one of their major customer accounts in the UK.
The programme manager would be responsible for providing leadership, direction and decision making within the programme and conduct risk assessments of strategic, technical, financial factors affecting the programme from a business perspective. The programme manager would also be responsible for coaching and mentoring IT project managers and acting as the pivot between the client and project teams, effectively communicating clearly to all stake-holders and negotiating with senior management within the customer account.
Skills required include:
- Previous programme management experience within a complex IT environment (enterprise business systems / interactive systems experience is preferred)
- Solid understanding of programme & project management methodologies ie. Prince 2
- Experience of delivering at least one major programme of work consisting of multiple streams with budget in excess of £2m
- External client facing experience ESSENTIAL (preference will be given to candidates who come from a large branded IT service provider or consultancy background)
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Proven mentoring and coaching capability
- A successful track record of making an impact
- Excellent organisational skills
- Self motivated, confident and determined
- Negotiation skills
- MSP would be an advantage
