Programme Manager

Programme Manager: Logistics Distribution - £800 to £1000 per day plus Expenses, based in London.
Overview
Our client is a large blue chip organisation and requires an experienced senior programme manager to join their distribution operation. You will be required to lead a team of up to four project mangers at any one time to deliver savings of over £60 Million over a twelve month period.
The Role
Candidates will be required to deliver against the business strategy by leading and implementing this transformation programme. You will work across numerous group functions including IS, group procurement, legal and operations.
The programme manager will oversee a budget of £150 million and will be responsible for a team of 300 staff in areas including transport, sortation centres and inventory management to ultimately optimise delivery times and operational performance on a national basis.
Candidates
You must have a strong programme management background and have excellent working knowledge of processes, tools and techniques in the deployment of complex programmes. Candidates must have used project management methodologies, such as Prince2 and lean principles to deliver several large scale change programmes. You will have also previously managed budgets in excess of £50 million and managed teams of over 50 in dynamic environments, as well as having experience of running complex and large programmes for Blue Chip organisations in ideally a distribution based or technical environment.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to influence and forge robust relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Candidates with a strong programme management background in the logistics and supply chain area, either in Retail, FMCG or 3PL are encouraged to apply for this position
